Navigating Life's Challenges Together
At Therapy Without the Filter, I provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can bring whatever is on your mind. Life can be challenging, and sometimes it helps to have a space that’s just for you somewhere you can pause, explore, and begin to make sense of your experiences.
With over 10 years of experience working in therapeutic and support roles, I bring depth, compassion, and a grounded approach to counselling. My work is guided by the belief that each person has the capacity for growth, healing, and change when given the right support.
Together, we can explore your thoughts, feelings, and patterns, helping you gain greater self-awareness and clarity. This process can empower you to:
-
Understand yourself more deeply
-
Work through challenges that may feel overwhelming
-
Develop healthier coping strategies
-
Move towards a happier, more balanced life
Therapy Without the Filter is about honesty, authenticity, and connection. It’s not about quick fixes or pretending everything is fine — it’s about creating a space where you feel safe enough to be real, and supported enough to grow.

About Me.
My name is Jemma and I am BACP-registered psychotherapist with a background in working in some of the most complex and challenging settings, including prisons and addiction services. Over the years, I’ve learned that therapy isn’t about fixing people,it’s about creating a space where you can breathe, explore what’s going on beneath the surface, and feel truly heard. My approach is straightforward, compassionate, and real. I don’t believe in jargon or quick fixes. Instead, I work with you to understand your story, your struggles, and your strengths, so we can make sense of what you’re carrying and find a way forward that feels right for you.Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply curious about yourself, therapy can be a place to pause, reflect, and reconnect with who you are.Outside of the therapy room, I’m passionate about making mental health support more accessible and cutting through the “fluff” that can sometimes make it feel out of reach. My aim is to offer a space that feels safe, supportive, and real, because life is messy, and healing doesn’t need a filter.
Current Study
I’m currently working towards a CPCAB Level 7 Diploma to further develop my supervision skills and strengthen the support I can offer to other practitioners.
Therapy
My mission is to offer therapy that feels human, honest, and accessible—cutting through the jargon to create a safe space where people can explore, heal, and grow without filters.
